Documents Required for MSME Registration

To register your MSME, you should have a few standard paperwork on hand. These papers contain:

  • Your personal Aadhaar number.
  • Your address proof
  • Your company’s name
  • Your company’s account details
  • Information about the company’s owner(s)
  • The owner’s PAN card details (registration can also take place without the PAN card)
  • Required documents include a copy of the sales/purchase bill
  • A  partnership deed, and 
  • Company licences.

These documents are required before you can begin the company registration procedure. You can preserve a digital copy of these papers while filing your SSI registration application online, allowing you to upload them promptly.

MSME Registration Certificate

The Ministry of MSME offers an e-certificate known as the Udyam Registration Certificate to MSMEs in India. The Udyam registration certificate is also known as the MSME registration certificate. After completing the MSME registration procedure, the entrepreneurs obtain their registration certificate. The certificate will include a QR code that may be used to view the enterprise’s data.

MSME Registration Online

MSME registration in India is a very straightforward and quick process.

It all starts with a visit to the Udyam Registration official website.

MSME registration is available for the following two categories:

  • New entrepreneurs not yet enrolled as an MSME.
  • Entrepreneurs with UAM or EM-II registrations
  • New entrepreneurs not yet enrolled as an MSME

As an entrepreneur who has yet to register their MSME, select the “For new entrepreneurs” option on the website’s home page.

After you click the button, the registration procedure (using your Aadhar card) will begin.

Registration can be completed in two ways:

Registration of PAN card details

When you submit your Aadhaar number on the website, you may also add your personal information and name. After clicking “validate and generate OTP,” the next page appears and requests PAN verification. Because you have a PAN card, your information is pulled from the government’s database and filled in automatically. After that, you must file the ITR data as an application entrepreneur.

You will notice the notification “Udyam Registration has been done through this PAN” after filling out the data. You must click on “Validate PAN”. As soon as your PAN is validated, the site displays the Udyam Registration box, which prompts you to provide your personal information as well as the industry in which your business operates. After entering all of the information, click “Submit and get final OTP”.

This concludes your MSME registration with a PAN card. You can anticipate the Udyam Registration Certificate a few days later.

Registration without the PAN card data

Your MSME registration without a PAN card is initially the same as registering with a PAN card until the “Validate and Generate OTP” phase. After entering the OTP, click “No” when the prompt “Do you have a PAN?” appears. This opens the Udyam Registration page, where you may input your personal information as well as information about your industry.

After filling out all of the required fields, click the “Final Submit” button to receive your registration number.

It is important to note that, while you can register as an MSME without a PAN card, you must apply for both the PAN and the GSTN after registration.

  • Entrepreneurs With A UAM or EM-II Registration

If you are already a UAM or EM-II, go to the Udyam registration page and select the “For those having EM-II or UAM registration” option.

Clicking this button takes you to a website where you must enter your Udyog Aadhaar number and request an OTP.

After entering your OTP, click “Validate and Generate OTP” and enter the remaining information into the window that displays on your screen. After validating the last OTP, your Udyam registration is complete.
